A world with a unique atmosphere, heavenly landscapes and exciting outdoor sports in the south of Salzburg
Nestled between the Radstädter Tauern (Obertauern), the Hohe Tauern and the Nockberge mountains, our region in the heart of Austria couldn't be easier to reach via the Tauern autobahn (A 10).
Ca. 100 km south-east of Salzburg City lie the 15 communities of the Lungau region, at an average elevation of 1,000 m above sea level.
15 towns close to Katschberg, Obertauern and Flachau
- St. Michael
- St. Andrä
- St. Margarethen
The flora and fauna of the Lungau region and its side valleys - which radiate outwards like the spokes of a bike - are very diverse, and are preserved and protected by a variety of nature sanctuaries.
