The Murtal Railway
Whether in the imperial hunting carriage or the fairy-tale carriage - a ride on the Murtal Railway, pulled by a historical steam train, promises a grand adventure for everyone!
If you wish, bring your bike along and ride back to the Lungau along the Mur Bike Path.
The trains and buses of the Murtal Railway run daily at 2-hour intervals, also offering good connections to Vienna, Graz and Klagenfurt, as well as to most towns in the Lungau and Murau regions, at stops in Tamsweg, Murau and Unzmarkt.

Taurach Railway
Austria's highest narrow-gauge railway:
From Mauterndorf to St. Andrä and back, this historic steam locomotive runs through the Taurach Valley from June until September. Over 20 years ago, Club 760 completed extensive renovations and reopened this stretch of the Taurach line as a museum experience.
