Ramingstein Silver Mine
Some 200 years ago, Lungau miners were already extracting the silver deposits from this mine. Carbide lamps and helmets are provided.

Bundschuh Smelter - Smelting Museum
Follow the Miners' Hiking Path all the way to the mining area itself, learning about how ore was extracted from the rock as you go. The smelter is a listed historic monument and is somewhat of a rarity in the mining world, featuring a forced-air heating system. The museum documents the history of mining in and around the year 1880, including some truly remarkable exhibits.

Kodak Camera History Museum
Cameras and filming equipment from 1892 to the present day, exhibition housed at the village hall in Zederhaus: The exhibition represents a cross-section of the Kodak Company with several hundred pieces. Tours led by experts, free admission!

Crushing Mill in Mauterndorf
Open to the public every Fri 3-5 pm, mid June - mid September
Also visit the Mill Museum at the Stampflgraben. Make arrangements in advance by phone and even see the mill in operation.
Lungau Heritage Museum in Tamsweg
Objects from everyday life on the farm and in town, casting light on the working and living conditions, as well as the folk customs of the Lungau. The Romans in the Lungau, plus exhibition pieces that reflect popular piety.

Parish, Pilgrimage and Silent Night Museum in Mariapfarr
An art-historical church treasure and former mother parish of the Lungau, also houses small silver altars. It was in 1816 that Joseph Mohr wrote the world-famous Christmas song "Silent Night" at the parsonage. A Joseph Mohr exhibit details the creation and spread of the song, as well as the life of Joseph Mohr.

Organ-Building Workshop
This is the only workshop in Austria dedicated to traditional Austrian inner-alpine organ building: It was in this workshop in Tamsweg that Vienna's biggest church organ was made. Tours of the shop and workshop by appointment.
Demonstrations on Lungau organs also possible by appointment.

Legendary Farm in Mauterndorf
Learn more about the 2,000-year-old history of legendary Staudingerhof Farm in Steindorf. At the private museum located in the old grain crib, you will see Roman finds and experience what work on the farm was like in earlier times.
