From an art-historical standpoint, it is simply a unique jewel that will bring you back in time to the late medieval period. Also awaiting you are visits to the Lungau Museum of Folk History and the 44 m high fortified tower with a captivating view of Mauterndorf and the adjacent mountain world.

Taurach Railway
Austria’s highest narrow-gauge railway offers a major bang for your buck. Chartered train rides can also be booked from June to September with advance registration. Chartered “nostalgia” steam trains or diesel trains can be rented out for company outings, club trips, or wedding parties.

Grosseck.Speiereck Adventure Mountain
Summer adventure: the 8-seater gondola lift (stroller and wheelchair accessible) will take you up to an elevation of 2,000 m. Enjoy the panoramic view of the entire Lungau region from the mountain station after a day of amazing and diverse hiking adventures. Spend countless pleasant, adventuresome hours here. In the winter, the Adventure Mountain offers guests the ultimate ski experience.
