CHILDREN'S TOUR AT Schloss Moosham
From May to September, Schloss Moosham outside Unternberg offers special children's tours that include the fun "Schörgentoni Quiz", visit to the torture chamber, crossbow shooting and medieval games.

All aboard this steam train for a journey into the wild blue yonder. A short stop at an inn with a playground invites big and small to enjoy a nice break for refreshments. Afterwards, it'll be time to hop back into the train for our return to Mariapfarr.

Mauterndorf's NaturPur path provides fascinating insights into local plant and animal life, its 50 information stations inspiring visitors to rededicate themselves to the needs of Mother Nature.
Start: valley lift station at Mauterndorf Ski Center, the town center of Mauterndorf or the mountain station of the Grosseck gondola lift.
INTERACTIVE HIKING PATH
Variety-filled, interesting and fun stations along the way make hiking exciting for the kids. The final stop is the Wildbachhütte, where children can run and play on the playground there. If you happen to have any energy left over, you can also set out to the extraordinary "Pyramids" at the foot of the Gumma.

Leisnitz "WATER PATH"
This walk will take you past the "Dwarf's Cave" and a natural playground that also includes the weatherproof "Kasmandl Hut". A new feature is a story told to you by a lonely giant. Equipped with a picture book and treasure map, the children are asked to enter each of the stations along the "Water Path" into the treasure map- Once they get to Gasthof Schlögelberger, they will be able to pick out their own "Stone of Courage". This inn is a rewarding destination in its own right with a petting zoo, playground, wildlife feeding station and lots to eat and drink.

Yet another great experience is a visit to the Alpine animal park known as "Almdorf Lungau" next to Gasthof Schlögelberger in St. Margarethen. There you can observe deer and ibex up close. The wildlife feeding at 4 p.m. is a very special highlight.

FOREST THEME PATHS
What sings, what leaps, what croaks, what grows, what lies, what flies, what lives amongst us? This path aims to stimulate us to observe our local nature more closely, to listen, and maybe even to rediscover some important values we have lost over time. 10 info boards provide interesting insights into life and nature on the Schwarzenberg. For younger hikers, the little imp"Goldi" has a special surprise in store at every station.

CRUSHING MILL AND ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND
Our young miners are able to playfully experience the historical "crushing mill" in Ramingstein (Kendlbruck) and discover how ore used to be processed back in the olden days.

AUSTRIA'S BIGGEST ADVENTURE PARK ON THE Katschberg
Over 200 challenge stations require you to overcome your anxieties and use absolute concentration. Between the platforms, different coordination exercises have been constructed from wood and rope. The absolute highlight is the zipline course, where adventure-loving participants can soar high above the ground. 3-D archery park with 22 animal targets at 20 different stations.

In the "Katschhausen" world of nature adventures for kids, visitors are able to immerse themselves in the world of the "Katschling Family" and various natural phenomena. A modern, family-friendly playground includes top-quality play equipment, a petting zoo and a pleasant picnic area.

Eco-friendly with "horse power" reduced to a minimum, yet an utterly memorable experience: These "Horse Taxis" will take you from the Katschberg to Gontal valley. The final stop is the "Pritzhütt" hut, where children can see, stroke and ride the ponies.

The"SEGWAY2" enjoys the same status as a bicycle and drives at a battery-driven 20 km/h. It's important to keep your balance and adjust the speed of the Segway by shifting your weight.

Geocaching - GPS TREASURE HUNT
Equipped with a GPS device, ten different treasure chests are waiting to be discovered. This modern version of a treasure hunt begins at the Aineck summmit station, which can be reached by riding the Aineckbahn lift from the Katschberg pass heights. From there, treasure hunters make their way one treasure chest at a time, downhill towards their goal at the Aineck valley terminal on the Katschberg.

Passeggen "EXECUTION PATH" - St. Andrä / Tamsweg
On large info boards, you can learn all about life as it was lived back in the 17th century, about the court trials of that time and how the condemned were treated. Passing alongside meadows and forests, this walking tour isn't just an ideal expedition for curious and interested adults, it is also an exciting journey back through time for children. On this family hiking path, numerous play areas teach kids how people lived in former times.

Family Park - Smarty Land
In July and August, things really "heat up" next to the valley station of the Grosseckbahn lift in Mauterndorf. Smarty Land has opened its doors! Children and families are greeted by many attractions including a 60 meter-long water-tubing ride, bouncy castle, bungee trampoline, high-ropes challenges for children, giant slide, summer tubing, Indian teepee and much more.

Outdoorparc Lungau was created especially for families and sports lovers of all ages. Free for everyone to enjoy are a street-soccer court, a bouldering rock with a climbing area of some 100m², a climbing pyramid and a low-ropes course. For an additional charge, the Outdoorparc also offers a zipline area consisting of 7 stations and a total length of 460 meters, a team challenge course with giant swing, pamper pole, climbing wall and Jacob's Ladder, rubber rafts, zorbing ball, kayaks and family boats. A kiosk is also available for anyone who gets snacky.

Silver Mine / Ramingstein
Some 200 years ago, Lungau miners were already extracting the silver deposits from this mine. A visit to the silver mine will give you insight into the arduous work and history of mining in Lungau. Equipment: non-slip shoes (mountain boots) and durable everyday clothes are recommended. Carbide lamps and helmets are provided.
