Cycling & Mountain Biking Events

Tour de Mur

The Tour de Mur is an event aimed squarely at bicycle tourists, with 3 tours leading along the R2 Murradweg. In the process, participants cover a total of 333 km, traveling from the Salzburger Lungau and right across Styria before finishing in Bad Radkersburg.

On the day before the official start of the Tour de Mur, bikers are given the opportunity to "warm up" by pedaling from St. Michael in the direction of Muhr, including a visit to the Samson and the Blasnerhof Farm Museum. In the evening, all participants are invited to attend the Pasta Party in the Festhalle in St. Michael. The first stage begins in St. Michael next to the valley station of the Sonnenbahn lift. Since this is not a bike race in the strict sense of the word, the event has an open start time between 8 and 9:30 AM.

Lungau Bike Rally

Every year on 15 August, the Tamsweg Bike Club invites all avid cyclists to join them for the traditional Lungau Bike Rally.

This event isn't a serious race, but rather a pleasant bike ride, during which everyone gets to decide their own speed and the distance they want to ride for themselves. And of course, E-bikers are welcome as well.
