From the village center at 1,740 meters, the slopes stretch, like the spokes of a big wheel, up to an altitude of 2,526 meters. The unique ski area offers more than 100 perfectly prepared and easily accessible kilometers of slopes for beginners, advanced and professionals.
Obertauern, not for no reason known as the "Snow Bowl of Austria", offers perfect winter sports conditions from late November to early May. From any point of the resort you can ski in a few minutes. Unique in its kind in the entire Alpine region is the "Tauernrunde": you can ski down all slopes either clockwise or counterclockwise.
Several ski schools and ski rentals ensure skiing fun for everyone. When Arriving the slopes, plenty of powder snow is not only fun for the piste skiers, but also for freeriders.
