Cheese dumplings

Classics such as cheese dumplings, Käsekrainer, Kaiserschmarrn or Germknödel are almost part of the hut experience. With this recipe, we conjure up the "hut treat" in our own four walls.

A cheese dumpling soup warms our hearts again. And it's so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 250 g dumpling bread
  • 1-2 pieces of onion
  • 250 g curd cheese or sour cream
  • 50 g flour
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 kg cheese
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Pepper, garlic

Preparation

  1. Grate the cheese and mix. TIP: (1/3 to ½ gray cheese, the rest low-fat cheese, mountain cheese, Tilsiter)
  2. Mix the dumpling bread with the eggs and leave to soak.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together to form a medium-firm mixture,
  4. Leave to infuse briefly, the mixture will firm up a little.
  5. Form small loaves with greased hands and place them on a crumbled board
  6. Then fry in the fat.

Serve in the soup with roasted onion and chives.
