Dumplings with mushroom sauce

In summer, the Lungau Magic Forest is filled with the tastiest and freshest treasures you could wish for. Blackberries, Grantn (cranberries) and mushrooms of all kinds can be discovered among the giant trees and in complete peace and relaxation.

You can conjure up some great dishes with these crunchy Lungau delicacies, and today we are going to reveal our favorite chanterelle recipe - dumplings with mushroom sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of chanterelles
  • 20 dag butter
  • 1 onion
  • a pinch of salt & pepper
  • Any spices you like
  • 1/2 fresh crème fraîche
  • Flour

Preparation

Clean & the chanterelles thoroughly. Then soften the butter in a pan and fry the chopped onion until golden brown. Add the mushrooms, season with salt & pepper and leave to cook for about 20 minutes. Finally, add about half a packet of fresh crème fraîche, mix well with a whisk and dust with flour to make a sauce

TIP: The mushroom sauce tastes particularly delicious with homemade bread dumplings.
