Get to Know Your Hosts
When my husband Johannes and I took over my parents-in-law's farm, I wanted to offer our guests something special: freshly baked bread and sweet pastries. But with two children, 15 sheep, and 40 cows and calfs, there was little time for elaborate doughs. So I developed simple, sure-fire recipes – it was the start of a whole baking philosophy: several baking books and the "Baking with Christina" movement have been created since then.
Today, I inspire people to bake every day with baking courses, the baking world in Tamsweg, my blog, and a growing community.
Our animals determine the daily rhythm on the farm and give structure to my everyday life. In winter, guests are welcome to help out in the barn and watch the sheep being milked and fed. In summer, our animals enjoy the alpine pasture and we enjoy the "stable-free" time.
