One highlight is the "Feuer & Stimme" (Fire & Voice) event, which attracts music enthusiasts and choirs from all over Austria and neighboring countries. The town is also the starting point of the famous Tour de Mur, which takes cyclists along the course of the Mur river all the way down to Bad Radkersburg in Styria.

In winter, St. Michael transforms into a glittering paradise. The village is ideally located between the Grosseck-Speiereck and the Katschberg skiing areas, which can be reached quickly and easily by the free ski bus.

But there is also plenty to experience far off the slopes: well-prepared cross-country ski trails, curling, ice skating, or lovely snow-covered walking trails invite you to be active. Romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides and candlelight alpine hut evenings make your winter vacation perfect.
