The unmistakable cycling event Tour de Mur

A must for all cycling enthusiasts is the Tour de Mur on 4 June 2026, which will take place for the 34th time. The starting point of the 333-kilometre route is at the Sonnenbahn in St. Michael and leads all the way to Bad Radkersburg.

The Mur Cycle Path is considered one of the most beautiful river cycling routes in Europe – and the Tour de Mur turns it into a shared experience on two wheels.

To kick things off, participants are warmly welcomed at 8:00 a.m. by the mayor and the St. Michael information office, before the starting signal is given at 8:30 a.m.

Unicycle tour to the Blasnerhof (Muhr)

On 3 June 2026, a guided cycling tour starting at 1:00 p.m. invites you to enjoy a leisurely discovery of the Mur Valley. From the Sonnenbahn St. Martin, the route follows the River Mur to Muhr. There, you will also see Lungau’s landmark, the giant “Samson.” After a short visit to the exhibition “(M)URSPRUNG – Nature in Flow,” the tour continues to the nostalgic Blasnerhof farmhouse museum.
