Riedingtal Nature Park Zederhaus

The Riedingtal Nature Park in Zederhaus is located on the southern margin of the Niedere Tauern range and inspires with an incomparable landscape between the Radstädter Tauern mountains and the foothills of the Ankogel group. Right at the entrance of the valley, you will be greeted by an unforgettable view on the Schlierersee lake and the striking summit of Riedingspitze.

The Preber region

The Preber area in the Salzburg Lungau region is an incomparable natural paradise and impresses with its untouched landscape. At its heart lies the 5.6-hectare Prebersee lake, nestling between an idyllic moorland landscape at 1,514 meters above sea level. The alpine moorland lake is part of the Niedere Tauern landscape conservation area and is one of the natural jewels in the UNESCO Biosphere Park Salzburg Lungau Region and Carinthian Nockberge.

The gentle moorland landscape is surmounted by the striking summit of Preber, which at 2,740 meters is one of the highest peaks in the Schladminger Tauern range. On a clear day, the panorama at the summit is indescribable, revealing the immense expanse of the surrounding mountains.

The Preber region is not only an unforgettable destination for hikes and walks in summer, but transforms into a paradise for cross-country skiers, ski tourers, and toboggan riders in the winter season. This diversity makes the region a unique experience at any time of year.

The Nockberge Mountains in Schönfeld

Hohe Tauern National Park in Muhr
