Riedingtal Nature Park Zederhaus

The Riedingtal Nature Park in Zederhaus is located on the southern edge of the Niedere Tauern and boasts an incomparable landscape between the Radstädter Tauern and the foothills of the Ankogel group. You will be greeted by an unforgettable view of the Schlierersee and the striking Riedingspitze right at the entrance.

The Preber region

The Preber area in Salzburg's Lungau region is an incomparable natural paradise and impresses with its untouched landscape. At its heart lies the 5.6-hectare Preber Lake, nestled in an idyllic moorland landscape at 1,514 meters above sea level. The alpine moorland lake is part of the Niedere Tauern landscape conservation area and is one of the natural jewels in the UNESCO Salzburger Lungau and Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Park.

The gentle moorland landscape is overlooked by the striking Preber, which at 2,740 meters is one of the highest peaks in the Schladminger Tauern. On a clear day, the panorama here is indescribable, revealing the immense expanse of the surrounding mountains.

The Preber region is not only an unforgettable destination for hikes and walks in summer, but also transforms into a paradise for cross-country skiers, ski tourers and tobogganers in winter. This diversity makes the region a unique experience at any time of year.

The Nockberge mountains in Schönfeld

The Nockberge mountains in Schönfeld and on the Karneralm are an incomparable highlight in Salzburg's Lungau region. As Europe's only national park in the gentle high mountains, they are home to the largest spruce, larch and stone pine forest in the Eastern Alps. This unmistakable appearance of the round "Nock'n" is not only a geological rarity, but also a geological rarity in the entire Alpine region.

Hohe Tauern National Park in Muhr
