During the farmers' autumn season (the so-called "Bauernherbst"), from mid-August to the end of October, nature in the Salzburg Lungau region shows itself in an incomparable blaze of color.

The Harvest Festival is celebrating its anniversary - and we're celebrating with it!
For 30 years, the festival has combined living traditions with genuine hospitality, regional delights and the unmistakable landscape of Salzburger Land. This year, the motto is "G'sungen und G'spielt" - no festival without music!

In Lungau, there is not only music, but also celebration, feasting and amazement - on village squares, mountain meadows and in cozy alpine huts.

Gamsfest in honor of the Lungau direct marketers with marquee, big raffle, music and regional delicacies - 22. to 23.08.25

Summer get-together with street festival, regional delicacies, live music and children's program - 22.08.25

2nd International Harmonica Meeting with summit hike, mountain devotion & hut fun - 29 to 31.08.25

Anniversary kick-off in Dorfgastein

On Saturday, 23 August 2025, the 30th Salzburger Bauernherbst will be ceremoniously opened in Dorfgastein - with a large parade, musical highlights and a colorful supporting program for young and old.

This is what you can expect:

Festive parade from 10:00 am with 5 bands, magnificently decorated floats, riders, Schnalzer, traditional associations & delegations from all over the country

Premiere of the Bauernherbst polka "Auf zum Bauernherbst", played by 5 traditional music bands

Early morning pint from 12:30 at several locations in the village

Folk music along the village street from 15:30

Evening program with live music on four stages from 19:00
