The Longa rises high in the Schladming Tauern and flows through partly steep, rocky terrain down, at 1,100 meters above sea level, to Weißpriach. From here it continue to Mariapfarr, where it empties into the Taurach. Total length of the source to the mouth about 15 km.
The Longa move in its original course on the whole way to Mariapfarr. For lovers of real nature a pleasure! The mountain water is clear, cold and reache in midsummer not more than 10-13 degrees. A paradise for trout, char or grayling and thus a perfect place for fly fishing.
You walk along the meandering Longa and with every step and every minute you will be more relaxed, calmer and happier. The best thing is to be observed that all the other people that are encountered are the same feel and balanced.
