CELEBRATING AND SAVORING AUTUMN
Highlights of Harvest Festival in Unternberg
Harvest Festival eateries offer traditional dishes such as roast lamb or "rabbit ears with sauerkraut" (actually, this is a pastry, so not to worry!). Farmers' wives sell their own products, such as "Eachtling" (Lungau potatoes), bread, milk and meat, either right there at the farm or at farmers' markets. The town itself is decked out in autumnal decorations, and every year Unternberg Harvest Festival guarantees great entertainment for locals and their guests alike. Highlights include live performances as well as traditional craftsmanship and deeply rooted folk customs.
