11 Mitterberg Plus Route

Tour Description

Start in St. Andrä / at the train halt for the Taurachbahn – from here on the bike path next to the tracks heading west as far as the main road – cross the main road, then left on the bike path - after ca. 100 m, make a right and continue right on the bike path to Lintsching (KM 2.7), then next to the Lignitzbach as far as the main road north of Mariapfarr (KM 4.8),
IMPORTANT: in between, 126 m where you will have to GET OFF AND PUSH! – now south to Örmoos, then to Mariapfarr (KM 5.8) - continue on the paved road (short stretch of gravel), past Gasthof Häuserl im Wald to Bruggarn/main road (KM 8.3) – turn left, after ca. 100 m make a right - through Fanning and Steindorf – under the main road, in the small community of Am Moos make a right – at the Taurach bridge keep straight – after the train tracks, make a left to Gröbendorf - now right to Pichl (KM 14.7) - turn right (over the bridge) up the Mitterberg until ca. 100 m before a chapel (KM 17.4) – keep straight (forest path in parts) as far as the Gruber turn-off (KM 18.3) - to the B95, cross the road – right on the forest path – left at the fork and back to the starting point.
