09 Longa Route

Tour Description

Start in Weisspriach / village hall - after 300 m, left over the bridge to Sonndörfl - in Sonndörfl, uphill to the left as far as KM 2.1 – then slightly downhill as far as KM 4.5 - make a right - from KM 5.9, the road becomes narrower – shortly after, before the wooden bridge, the paved surface turns to gravel - at KM 7.0 (Dicktlerhütte) make a left – steep uphill gravel road - at KM 8.8, left over the bridge – Znachtal car park: at ca. KM 9.8, make a right and cross 3 wooden bridges, coming to the final car park - along the forestry road as far as the Ulnhütte (does not serve refreshments) and back via the same route.

Jausenstation Dicktlerhütte (1.148 m) / Weißpriachtal
Granglerhütte (1.320 m) / Weißpriachtal 

Tip: Bike & Hike

Tonimörtlhütte and Wirpitschsee
The starting point is either the Granglerhütte or Ulnhütte. Behind the Ulnhütte to the left, past a rushing waterfall, then cross the Longa. After ca. 200 m, a marked hiking trail leads to the left as far as the Tonimörtlhütte (open to the public from ca. mid-June until the end of September), standing close to the Wirpitschsee. A hike out to the Oberer Schönalmsee is highly recommended. Hiking time: ca. 1.5 hour.
