Special things in Lessach
Did you know...
that the cemetery in Lessach is considered unique in the world and art history. According to the principle that all people are equal before God, since the 17th century all graves here are so-called chest grave markers (called Sarchen), designed equally and uniformly.
An interesting place of peace and quiet, worth a visit not only on All Saints' Day. Since time immemorial, all the grave mounds in the Lessach cemetery, which is located around the beautiful parish church, have been framed with silver and black painted larch wood boards, which are provided with sayings.
