A wide range of cross-country ski trails
Salzburger Lungau region altitude of over 1,000 meters above sea level means that it is meteorologically favored and therefore guarantees particularly reliable snow conditions. This is also important for cross-country skiing, which is why Salzburg Lungau region also has the snow-covered Lignitz high-altitude trail in Mariapfarr in addition to the high-altitude trails at Prebersee and in Schönfeld.
For an uninterrupted cross-country skiing experience, a general ban on hiking, horse riding and dogs applies on the cross-country ski trails.
